Welcome to #Cymera2024, our third hybrid festival. This means we will have three kinds of events.

1) In-person. All our in-person events will take place at The Pleasance, Edinburgh.

2) Livestream. Almost all our in-person panels will be livestreamed via YouTube, and recorded. The workshops, the quiz and the plays will not be recorded.

3) Digital. These events are fully digital and will take place in Zoom and Zoom Webinar. With the exception of the workshops, these events will be recorded.

All recorded events will be available to catch-up until 14rd July 2024. If you purchase a ticket to a digital or livestreamed event, you will automatically receive the catch-up link for that event. Please note that it may take us a few days to upload all events.

Tickets

Tickets go on sale in two stages.

Early booking access for weekend pass holders and Cymera members from 10am on Monday 8th April 2024. If you are one or the other, please keep an eye out for your access email on Sunday 7th April.

Tickets will be on general sale from 10am on Monday 15th April 2024.

All events are individually ticketed. Tickets are priced as listed on each individual event and include a booking fee.

We offer concessions tickets for those aged under 26 and over 60, students, disabled people, the unemployed or those on low income. Free Standby Tickets for those on low income or unemployed can be requested on the day. Alternatively, you can request a complimentary weekend pass in advance here.

We regret that once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded.

Please note that we do not issue physical tickets - your booking confirmation is your ticket. Please present a physical or digital copy at the door to the individual event.

If your bookings is for a digital event or livestream, you will receive an email with a pdf download, which lists the access URL. Please download and safe this link as the download expires within 24 hours of purchasing the ticket. Please keep an eye on your SPAM folder. Panel event: £11/ £9 concession

Livestream Access: £5.50

Digital event: £5.50

In-person Workshop: £18/ £15 concession

Digital Workshop: £13/ £11 concession

Please note that a booking fee of £0.50 per ticket is applied automatically.

Box Office

Over the festival weekend, there will be a box office facility at the Pleasance where you can buy tickets.

Weekend Pass Holders

Weekend Pass Holders will automatically receive all access links for our digital and livestreamed events. This excludes workshops, Agent One to Ones and the Plays, which are not included in the pass.

Due to limited venue capacity, we ask that weekend pass holders book tickets for in-person events following the instructions provided by email. Tickets can be booked right up to the festival weekend, unless the event is sold out. Weekend pass holders can also gain entry to any event that isn’t sold out by showing their pass. Excludes workshops, Agent One to Ones and the Plays.

Pay it Forward

At Cymera, our 'Pay it Forward' scheme helps us ensure that as many people as possible who share a love of sci-fi, horror and fantasy writing can attend our annual festival held in Edinburgh every June. With your donation, we can share the Cymera experience with those who would not normally be able to attend. We know times are hard for a lot of people right now, but please consider making a donation if you can.
